That's a great car suggested by Robb.

If I was looking for a red GTS, I'd probably be doing a PPI.

 

The car has been out there for a while. Skipp considered this car before going with a more expensive f1 Berlinetta from Black horse. He really wanted a Berlinetta so it was not really a slight of the car.

I believe Dave Rocks back in the day first saw the car and had good things to say about it. The seller has a good dealer reputation. You can find his older threads with a search.

We considered it with my brother's purchase in October and it was next in line, but we opted to buy a private party '97 to save on taxes in our state even though it had a few more miles...

Gotta love the specs.

Switchcars sells quite a few cars here on Fchat. History is a good thing! Never heard anyone saying "Switchcars screwed me" or any other complaints.

I believe prices are trending higher certainly for good examples. If the trend continues ask yourself if you are going to be pissed that you missed this opportunity. Beside I've never met a dealer that won't deal.

 

Did 95s have air bag steering wheel? Id like to adjust the front bumper bar gap too! Looks pretty nice to me though.

 

Kurt, if you are going to buy from a dealer that GTS at $70k ask might be the best option you see for 6-12-24 months. By that time the ask for the same car may be $80-90k.

If its above your budget you really need to look private party and find someone looking to sell quick and act quick. The ask on this car via private party would probably be $5-7k less if they really were serious about selling quick. People are all over the place on asking prices though because these cars can't be priced like commodities. Every one is different and the same spec care can vary in value $30k based on condition. The pros know this hence why no one here is balking at that GTS at $70k.

 

The car has been there for a couple of months so everyone had plenty of time.

Yeah, I think the spring buying season is starting early this year. People are realizing they need to move fast to get the car they want otherwise who knows if the car they want will even be available come April/May/June. If so at what price?

In my 7 years on Fchat I haven't seen so many people posting about wanting to buy a 355 in such a short period of time, the past 6-8 weeks.

 

True, me too.

 

Pretty wild. I've seen talks of the selling prices increasing but this is first time I've seen it actually happening across the board.

 

PPI is getting done tomorrow on a prospect Berlinetta F1 tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Then there's the question of another 2 Berlinetta 6 speeds...one the owner is firm at $70k and the other hasn't even gotten back to me with a price as he's on the fence about selling.

I think the F355 is one of the most undervalued modern-classics one could buy right now. Should be interesting to see what the market does over the next year or two...but as of right now IMO they're on the rise and it's not even close to spring/summer.

Only way I see it stabilizing is if a flood of Berlinetta'***** the market.
