    Ok will have it check too, thanks, hope it will works. Got same issue with yours and 3rd brake light doesnt light up too.

    I finally got to replacing the brake switch. To verify, the new switch worked.
    I had the same symptoms and issues as the OP. It got worse and worst to the point where clearing the code did not work. Here is the picture of the bad switch. Where my finger is placed is where spring loaded part is suppose to be. It didn't retract all the way out.
