We've had 3 rallys so far. The first in Germany, the second in Andermatt Swirtzerland and the third recently in Scotland organised by Marc Hedge.

Where will the 4th rally be? Initially Spain was mentioned because of its tendency to be mostly sunny. But then we need someone to volaunteer to take over the lions share of the organisting as Marc and Trevi have in previous years.

    What are you thoughts?

We'll start other threads later about who wants to come, this is more where and who will do all the hard slog?

The profit of the Germany and Switzerland edition was the "central europe" thing. Gives more people the oppertunity to enjoy the rally.
Think the costs and far drive to Scotland were some reasons for the low interest for the Scotland rally?
Maybe France or Belgium is an option?

    Sorry, just my 0.02 ;)

You could make a combo with Luxemburg for a stage of your trip then :D Nice and good roads, sigthings and villages, good hotels, food and wine (Riesling/Pinot Gris) or beer if you like... AND CHEAP FUEL! ;):D

Of course I can't organize it 'caus I'm not an owner yet :D:( don't have a lot of time either... but I can easily offer some assistance (route/exellent hotels) if needed :) Know the area very well.

I really would like to organize a Holland/Belgium/Luxembourg/France trip. Maybe Alex and Ton could help. But the problem is the lack of time next year. We are building our new house and it will be ready somewhere in summer 2006. This will take all my sparetime and holidays. :(

    Rough schedule could be... :D
First day... south-Netherlands and Ardennes/Belgium, diner and hotel in Spa-Francorchamps.
Second day, via Eifel down to Luxemburg, tour via Vianden, Müllerthal,... diner and hotel in Echternach fe
Third day could go further and longer down south to Elzas area, Molsheim/Colmar (France) or... more near via Mosel to Koblenz (Germany).
    Just some idea's here...
Indeed... lack of time could be a problem... :( But I would be glad to help work out a more detailed route for the... F-Chat wine-tour or something like that. More idea's?
Will look into it when I'm back from LP next week.

Back to the hotel for, dinner, bar….

    Saturday:
Early in the morning drive together from the hotel on the german autobahn (no speed limit on most parts of the 200 km trip we will do) to the famous Hockenheim Ring.

    - Visiting the Hockenheim Ring Race museum
    - Fahrsicherheits kurs (learning to drive secure by constructors with all the goodies….water fountain, breakpoints….a.s.o.)

    http://www.cvb-heidelberg.de/
….that’s just another idea and some thoughts.
We have done this trip many times in the past few yars – wonderful.
The challenge is to get all the goodies together for 1 event (track rental).
Prices depends on how many participants will come?
….and last but not least I don`t know if I will have time enough to organize it?!

    Best

Sounds like a plan, stan. Whoever plans this, do NOT underestimate how much time it takes up, but on the other hand it is very rewarding and you get to go where you want to go! :)

It is very very helpful to have someone local to help plan & make recommendations..Matkat's help was invaluable planning Scotland.

Mike (Codex) is already looking for his first silly car (probably a classic Porsche), and my brother-in-law to be is also on the lookout for something similar - I am SUCH a bad influence :) Sooo, with a bit of luck (and dates dependent as my BIL-to-be is getting married on Aug 20th) we will have two new members for rallye IV!

How about combining the Tuscan trip and Euro rallye and hold the event in Italy in June. Neither trip was over subscribed this year and part of the reason could be because people cannot commit to more than one 'big' trip a year - I know I can't.

Could even make it a tour of Italy - Lake Como to Amalfo coast with an Ice Cream in San Gimignano in the middle??!

(and of course a detour to Maranello) ;)

I can. I like two trips, it breaks up the summer. The Tuscanny trip works as a small group, 6 or 7. The only reason I couldn't make Scotland was it would have worked out too much time for me...2 days there, 2days back and a week in the middle.

Wolfgangs Germany trip sounds cool. But we've already done Germany....its world cup next year though....we could make a few stadium detours :)

I know Spain and Southern France too little, so would love to get to know those countrys from my ferrari.

I am the same that i can't normally do two big trips although i tried this year and then a friend decided to get married right in the middle of the Scottish trip but I am off to Europe on Saturday for 11 days and our trip goes

    Dijon
    Paul Ricard
    Cannes
    Monte Carlo
    Como
    Venice
    Bolzano (car train to) Dusseldorf

Maybe something in there that works for all, Cote D'Azur, Italy, Germany :)
