OK, I see a lot of cars from Jags to whatever that are Electronically Limited.
Is it possible or easy to remove this limitation?
I see the new XJ8 with 300 HP is limited to 195kph (120mph).
I think a 300 HP car could go a lot faster than that.

You need a tuning chip which usually run a few hundred bucks (for my fusion its 300 new) my cousin bought one for his mustang and shortly after hit 160 on the freeway.

Depends on the car. For my BMW 750il, a program was about $1500.00 .
Check some of the performance magazines, and chip makers to see if one is available for your car. Pricas are all over the map.

It will more than likely require custom programming to remove the speed limiter. All '96 and later cars use OBD-II diagnostics, which doesn't use chips like OBD-I '95 and earlier. The popular domestics like Camaros and Mustangs can use an off the shelf programmer like Hypertech, but I doubt you'll find one for a Jaguar.
