I just wonder if any member here have seen a early Testarossa with the high mounted side mirror converted to the later low mirror version

Also if an early high mirror have been converted to low mirrors would that make the car less worth?

There are indeed a number of early Testarossas which have been converted to two double low mirrors, probably as that was more practical. Although I don't know if the electronics would still work in that case.

And yes, double high mirrors was possible too. Not done by the factory, but simply by the owner or a shop, by using a mirror for the RHD market.

Back then someone who would want his car to look newer would change the high mount to low mount and look 2 or 3 years newer. And also have a better visibility.

Adding a second high mirror is useless. When I was looking at cars I drove one with the second mirror. It is set up to be seen from the drivers seat. You can't see out of a high mirror on the opposite side without silly contortions that defeat its purpose
