We had a top speed of 196mph recorded there yesterday by, I think, a Porsche GT2 RUF.

All depends where they put the timing beam... and make sure they clear the cars from the end so you have an easy run off option without trashing your brakes every lap!

Do you think it could be hot and sunny at the end of July?

(I am bored of wearing jumpers and jeans)

How many people will complain on the day of the heat causing slower times and that their engines need to be in cooler air?

    I'm DEFINATELY up for this....

My main aim will be to beat GrahamS .... 355 Capristo v Tubi ... the final showdown !!!

Judging by posters, great kit coming so far, all we need now is someone to come with their Murcielago..... Simon?

    A reliable minimum of 540BHP at 7200rpm

Some weight has been removed from the car too.

Its an early F40 with slightly taller gearing.

I have full LM brake ducting and I'm just waiting for a new dual master cylinder.

At 7250 RPM it should be doing 200mph, thats what I'll aim for. She should theoretically hit 215mph at 7800rpm.

BUT, it will hit a brick wall at 203 mph - even more power needed.

So 200mph would be an amazing achievement.

With your new fangled compression ratios you may well be in with a chance. All that extra Spider weight may go against you though....

Looking forward to seeing the F40 being driven how Uncle Enzo intended
