I wonder. Any insights on this? Are the drivers (Pilots) off acting like Playboys on vacation, or are they practicing? Are the engineers engineering? If/when things get back to normal, will we see an entirely new car from what arrived in Melbourne?

There is no where to practice receiving 4-5Gs without either an F1 car or a military jet.

F1 and the teams are working with the UK government and health authorities to produce more ventilators, which are needed in intensive care units.

F1 teams have engineering capabilities that could speed up the production of the units, which are in short supply.

Any word on what any of the drivers are up to during this delay? How are they keeping fit, and on the edge? Are the cars still developing?

I can't see how one can develop a car while being restricted to 6 or fewer people in a room all of them 6 feet (2 meters) apart.

I'd imagine most of the drivers have home gyms anyway. They're experienced at working out and can get programs emailed to them by their trainers. They'll still be working on physical conditioning.

Some might even have team simulators in their houses. Maybe they're keeping up on racecraft with the other drivers on the team that way?

    All the best,
    Andrew.

A number of drivers are doing the F1 -Esports virtual grand prix Leclerc , Albon, Norris (shaved his hair off for charity) , Lafiti , George Russel & Gasly .
Daniel Ricciardo is home in Australia keeping fit judging by his social media accounts.
Verstappen looks to be in Monaco & doing some sim racing judging by a photo he put up on Social media.

The summer break that is usually on in August was on last month & extended so not much happening in the factories.
