Here are a few photo's from when I bought her from Andrea. The NART jacket I'm wearing was given to me by Mr. Chinetti when I was a boy. She had her original Tires. i've always have loved this car! Dinos in general too i've saved over 100 images so far from online, but only a few are really indepth of the engine/bay, and none of the chassis/suspension/underbody ....do you perhaps have some more from the restoration? (i've only a few found from then, posted below) reason i ask is for one of my scale builds is this, and making (scratch building mostly) it extremely detailed when complete, but lacking more detailed images thanks Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Interesting how the Sergio looks like a modern interpretation of that first design on the second row from top to bottom.... Great to see these sketches.

That's really cool. Nice touch including some of Paolo Martin's sketches. I really like the fact that back then, the sketches were never 'overdone' like they are today. They understood they were primarily doing rolling sculpture not graphic design. Good to know the car will be enjoyed. This and the Pininfarina Dino Berlinetta Speciale are stand-outs.
This is one of my all time favorite cars. Very impractical, and totally awesome! I hope you enjoy it! BT
for my own research project, i've been combing through prior fchat threads (and other online too) for images of Dino Competizione, specifically detailed of the chassis/suspension/drivetrain here are a few links from fchat, with more info + images which Jim has shared previously (there's been a few) http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/206-246/397330-dino-competizione.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/206-246/240323-dino-competizione-yellow.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4-sponsored-redline-restorations/387874-dino-competizione-video.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4-sponsored-redline-restorations/369571-took-dino-competizione-studz-out.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4-sponsored-redline-restorations/220426-dino-competizione-ready-come-home.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4-sponsored-redline-restorations/210373-dino-206-competizone.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4-sponsored-redline-restorations/269278-dino-competizione-rain.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/206-246/259451-dino-competizione-%40-fairfield.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/138906784-post66.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/206-246/253148-dino-competizione-styling-model.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/206-246/233690-dino-competizione-video.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/206-246/239210-historic-drive.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4-sponsored-redline-restorations/233218-original-pininfarina-document-folio.html
Great stuff. Here's a link to an article written by Paolo Martin. Although you've probably already come across it. Ferrari Dino Berlinetta Competizione - Car Body Design

found my VIN questions here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/206-246/212481-yellow-10523-vs-purple-10523-a.html I always thought there'd be a "S" or some other designation also stamped, to differentiate the 206S/SP (longitudinal engine) Dinos? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jim, the one thing I haven't been able to find, is what specific paint color that Dino Competizione wears? Is it a Fiat or Ferrari paint code? If so which is it? Thanks
Matt's video with Jim and Dino Competizione! Ferrari Dino Competizione, Supercar Weekend from Palm Bea... - YouTube (dang youtube vid, click on link to view)
It's a one off color. If you look at my Fiat Dino thread you'll learn more as we painted that one the same color.
ok, the painting your Fiat thread, I had only glanced at it, but see more info now, thank you very interesting to learn just how many changes were made at Pininfarina before you took possession; intake air cleaner manifold, new wheels made w/ new tires, the door top air intakes, and carbon-fiber doors, those were a bit of a surprise, but obviously necessary what other changes were made beyond these? it looks from the PF photos perhaps the pedals & steering wheel position were all re-adjusted to fit? thanks
