Hi All... I've just seen one of my rear rotors on my F430 is cracked in 2 places. Both small cracks... Car has 14,000km, 2008... Is this normal and needs attention / repair / replacement? Brakes working fine.. Thanks

the danger while driving normally is relatively small.
if you go to a track day and do a lot of heavy braking, then its different.
the risk is that the rotor will shatter and leave you with reduced braking power, and perhaps other damage.

$5k per corner to repair....ask me how i know ;)

Thanks Ross. I'm in Dubai so repair is not an option unfortunately... Am looking for hardly used, one careful owner!

Mark - ever check into swapping to steel rotor setup? A lot of guys I know will swap over so it costs a fraction of the cost to replace the brakes when its time.

It's a consideration but wanted to keep car as original as possible. Looks like I've found a 'slightly' used carbon disc so good to go.. Thanks.

Hi all. Got a slightly used CCM rotor from Ferrparts. Took less than 48hrs to arrive in Dubai via DHL. Thanks Russ.. Great customer service.
