Car Quality Circa 1970

Carbon was over last night and, while going through some old racing photos, I ran across the following ad that I clipped out of the Detroit News about 35 years ago.

'70 CORVETTE, this flawlessly finished, dark gray convertible, with contrast black leather int and and matching hardtop is equipped with FM stereo, ice cold air, pwr. steering, pwr. brakes, and auto. trans. This handcrafted beauty must be sacrificed due to the following: There have been several electrical failures and 2 electrical fires, a leaky gas tank. There were failures in air-conditioning, stereo, safety warning lights, windshield wipers and washers. The front and rear bumper and other metal parts are rusted. There is front-end shimmy, faulty exhaust system and defective tires. This car is a real collector's item and must be seen and driven to be believed.
