I found what appears to be a good clean 2004 360 Modena spider manual transmission but the asking price is $143,000 USD. I thought these cars were going for a lot less? Am I nuts? Is that actually a reasonable price? I like the car, but don't want to be a sucker.

Whats the mileage? Maintenance history? PPI? Color combo? Owners? CARFAX? Luggage? Books/tools? Daytona's/standard/Sport seats?

Let's start there and we can probably help a bit better determine what's 'the market'

11k miles, good history major service with belts done 28 months ago. no ppi because things are crazy in the car world here right now and can't get one done any time soon. 4 owners. clean Carfax, comes with books/tools. Daytonas. I drove the car, feels, looks, sounds solid.

Understood. No PPI is a 'no go' for me, when, by what you just explained, the asking price is the top of the market. If I'm dropping $143K on a car, it's getting a PPI, or I'm not buying the car.

    Where is here?

    Color?

My opinion is unless it’s a platinum 100 pt car, pass.

It’s like someone saying pay me a ridiculous amount of money and I will sell my car.

Seems kinda steep, I have a 360 and wouldn't drop that kinda money on one.

The car market is absoulty insane right now. People are seemingly throwing obscene asking prices and they are getting them. I have never seen anything like it.

My suggestion is to hold off until fall. Then start the search. Don't over pay or you may find yourself under water . And don't get caught up in the whole "you will.never find another one this clean" sales pitch. You found that one..there will be others. Good luck with the search.

The best cars are found and earned. See the other thread in vintage.

Find a car loved by an enthusiast who is sad about selling not an opportunist excited to sell for the money.
