What is the break in period on these brand new mondials? (FYI - had my own hostage Saga with my 3.2 but had her back since October 2011 - just in time for our first snowstorm and not letting her out of my site again)
Congrats....pics doesn't do it justice nor does the feeling one has of sitting in it again knowing it's yours!!!! but a lot better than the daguerreotype picture shown earlier
Congratulations!!! The soap opera is over and the adventure begins.. So how does it drive?? Or are you too busy driving it to post..;-) H
OMG Im back from my 203 mile drive. I drove 90 miles straight to downtown Chicago and back and Mike, your picture from FB, was spot on. It took me 50 miles to get comfortable and use to the gated shifter, and then, after checking all the fluids, tire pressure and TQ on the wheels, and after i said goodbye to the banker, and putting $60 of gas at 4.17/gal... I took the top down, grabbed some CD's and i hit the road, headed due east and just kept going until i hit the lake and then, with a smile still plastered on my face, i turned around and headed west, back home to my family with the sun setting on my horizon. Im glad i made it home safe, i became a little too confident towards the end, with a little drifting on the final curve to my house. She is now home safe and sound. What a car! What a car. This Mondial of mine feels better than i remember and tomorrow i will post the pics of my day and put a closure to this, my tremulturous thread, that has indeed a happy ending. Thank you my friends for the supportive posts and sincere pm's. You guys are the very best! Im exhausted, tomorrow will be even more of a valenzo ted adventure. Ted
I told myself I'd do this when everything worked out, and I'm sure more than a few of you are doing the same. Congratulations Ted! -Nick Image Unavailable, Please Login
Now Ted, the prognosis for Valenzo is "a new lease on life and continued great health". Yes, there may be a wart here and a mole there, we all got those but all of us here that have been involved in this "reality show", feel confident that you will now get to enjoy Valenzo like never before. Drive her in the best of health. And don't forget - - she may challenge you..... she should be feeling pretty damn good !!! Cheers mate, Hank
You're stuuuuutttterrrrringgggg, Brent !!!!!!! Identical posts eight minutes apart - - Let Ted drive Valenzo, you stay put !!! Where's my GoPro2 ?? I want a bird !!! Cheers mate, Hank
Ted, that is awesome you got to properly reunite with Valenzo ! ...Here's something to start your new reunion thread ! Cheers ! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ted, Let me be very clear.... you are not allowed to share with me how much you are enjoying your car!!! I am doing my level best to not jump back in to the Mondial brotherhood, I'm afraid another post is going to put me over the edge In all seriousness, drive the car as often as you possibly can, enjoy every moment. If at some point down the road you say to yourself, I want to sell her and get X Ferrari. don't. I've driven countless Ferraris but as a complete package, there is none that I believe hold a candle to the Mondial. When I owned mine, I kept a diary of every mile driven, and everywhere I had gone. I would suggest you do the same, its a great way to spark memories of great times you have had, while you try and get through the snowy winter. Congratulations. Enjoy her in good health and please post many pictures!
Ted, I'm very happy for you! It's almost hard to believe that you really went out for a drive of 200 miles after having followed this thread. Enjoy your car! What are we going to read now?? Start a thread ''Valenzo's new life'' with a day to day story of it.
Ted and all I don't often post as I am more of a listener than a speaker..... I have followed this post with anxiety from the beginning. I can't tell you how glad I am that this chapter has come to close. Now you can write the next. I'm confident it will express joy and excitement. I'd also like to recognize you as a real gentleman. I admire your patience and focus. Please PM me with your address. I have something that I would like to send you that will help to make your car more enjoyable in the days of extreme temperature.
