Thanks to Doug, Susan, and the entire Crescent crew for contributing to the clothe Rob & Jennie's baby fund. What would I do without you! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Cute picture! We needed to put mittens on Luca's hands too -- he'd scratch his face like crazy while he slept (all 3 minutes of sleep, that is), and he'd wake up looking like a mountain lion had attacked him. One word of caution? That thing called a "Miracle Blanket" which is supposed to make swaddling easier? It's crap. Just use a a regular baby blanket, and wrap her up tight. Oh, another word of caution? Advent bottles work fine, but if you find them leaking it's because the cap is on too tight. Yeah, you read that correctly. When the cap is too tight, the silicone flange on the nipple gets crushed, and the seal isn't solid anymore. I was so sick of those damn things, I nearly threw them into the garbage until I figured out what was going on. Last thing... it looks like a melted tootsie roll, but it ain't. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Brilliant photo - great looking baby! So, what we all want to know is...Is the baby subscribed and did he have to pay for it? Congrats on a terrific family!
Those of us that have experience as parents recognize that Rob does not yet have a clue. Just wait until she asks Rob, and see if you can deny her.
How do you feel when you take the newborn baby home from the hospital? If I ever have one, i'm getting a taxi.....
Lovely pics and congrats. I am on the second one, myself, and would not trade it for any other experience. Like exotic cars....Parenthood is another area where there are lots of divergent opinions: For example: Do take off those mittens. American Academy Of Pediatrics says kids need to be able to tweak, touch, and develop sensory skills with all fingers. Mittens are more about vanity reasons / parents....Nails can be trimmed.
Three and half months later. She got fine control of her arms and hands by about 2 months, so I don't think she's worn them since. Even keeping the nails trimmed, she was just a little Edward Scissor Hands. Truth about different opinions, even the Pediatrics change yearly. Funny to have different generations swear by what they did and it is all over the board. However, most kids have turned out OK through history, so that may be the only thing constant.
congrats on your new baby !!!!!!! didnt know you guys were expecting. since ive been turned down for the mod job, jut wanted to let you know, i am available for god father.
Delayed thread response on my part, for sure....I was all turned upside down time zone-wise...on business in Brussels. If you ever need anything (second opinion), my mom has a pediatric office in Bedford. 40 yrs of experience and still stays up on all the research ! All the best and enjoy. Mine are 6 and 4.5 now. It is a cliche, but it does go fast...
We're enjoying it quite a bit. Both Jennie and I are leaving Mia with Grandma and Aunt for 3 days so we can relax and get our party on out of town. Think we would be looking forward to it, but it will be hard being without her that long. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Rob, I'm sure you've heard this before... but she looks JUST like you! Wow. No question about those genes!!!
We knew she looked like Jennie. Trying to determine if other half was me or either of my two friends that like me and LOVE Jennie.
