I was in "slow" group by desire. I restarin myself to fast driving anywere but on a race track. The last race I was at with Tiger club at Marina airport there were several "big boys" (F355 GTS, 911's). The drivers probably did not have enough experience in this sport as they all were behind by big margin.

The first few cars of "slow" group made a jump and I did not want to wave in and out of traffic on 101 to catch up with them. Once we got to 35 it turned out I was leading (inadverantely) group of Boxsters and Porsche SUV ;-)
The hwy 35 was wet so I did not even attempt to pass Nissan SUV in front.
Yes, I'd think Elise is a nimble car and can hold its own on these roads. But I don't have enough guts to find out ;-)
I'm looking forward to 8/27 Lotus club autoX in Marina.

    83 CARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The drive went off without a hitch. We had two groups and they all managed to stay together. Great people and great cars!

    OK, here are some pics!

The "relaxed" group getting ready to head out.

Cars as far as you can see.

Our final spot in Half Moon Bay. For some reason the lot was kind of full before we got there? The week before it was empty!!!

    Rest of the Pictures!

Hey! Get those kids off my car! ;-) Just kidding folks, pun intended...
What a awesome event. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for, a bunch of people who just want to see and drive with some gorgeous vehicles. The drive was fun, the cars were cool, and most important of all cool people. I got to talk to some really nice people at the marina. Man was I dumstruck when I drove in- like a kid in a candy store. The red Testarossas and 360 were cool, the lotus esprit and elise, yellow Gallardo, and too many porsches to mention. Well there's one I'd like to mention, the silver GT3 w/c-f wing on the back and the exhaust that waaaaaiiiiilllled like a bat out of ... made me think I was being left by a real race car.
I got to eat with the 969 guys, Kirby, Collin, and Colin(yeah, there's two of 'em, no typo). they are a great bunch of guys with the same passion as me, CARS! It was fun chatting and getting to know them, the 969 "history" and meeting family/friends. I'll definitely be at more of these events. Kirby, thank you for putting this together, providing (ample) space, maps and of course your hospitality. Great job, great drive, great success!

Yeah! Excellent meet and drive. Too bad I let my wife know departure was at 10am so we could not make it to 969 location earlier.
I thank organizers for the meat, drive Kirby for great pics!
I hope to see more diversity of cars next time around and certainly more F-cars.

The 9/10 drive thread is here.
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71616

This drive/meet/lunch is also to help our neighbor Clear Armor celebrate their grand opening. We're hoping to get the same variety of cars we had last time.

This was the last drive on 8/13.
