August Dusk Drive (?)

Let's do a drive and then dinner at the 4 Dog tavern again!

 

Yea boy, this sounds awesome up there. Drive an hour after work through rush hour traffic just to get to the start point. Follow 8 thousand bicyclists at 5 miles an hour and the late work traffic to a restaurant that is still an hour from home . No thanks.
How about we start and end half way between port deposit and west Chester. Haha.

When we did it a couple of years ago, everyone had a great time...including you.

 

Sounds fun, but most weekday evenings are out for me, and Saturday 8/13 is the Harrisburg Supercars show where a few of us will be.

 

No Joe, when we did it a couple years ago I couldn't make because I work in Wilmington. Driving south to pick up my car and then turning around took too long and I missed it.

BTW - no one else gets in trouble when I say I'm going for drive and everyone else thinks it's too far. They just don't show up. I'm just trying to be honest and communicate.

No offense intended. It costs me half a tank of gas just getting up there and back. I need to maximize my enjoyment per mile. It ok, less controversy with me somewhere else.

I for one had fun last year. It was a unique experience and a welcome.change.from the regular saturdays which i also love. Variety is healthy. All due respect to the people who cant make it cause they work late or have evening bball or soccer or have to go to church or live too far or ...........

 

Are we getting "Going to the Dogs" a refrigerator magnet?

Wife and kids are at the shore the month of August so I am free for a night time drive and would be interested.

What's the cost associated with the magnets?

 

We go there quite often, but I think the road is still closed just east of the Four Dogs. Still plenty of ways to get there, but keep that in mind when you plot the route. If someone else can confirm the closure, please chime in.

 

I'd be in! Have we decided on a night yet though?

 

How about a slightly later wheels up time? Say 6:30 instead of 6.
