Like any 90's supercar it has its faults, its interior is cramped much like the Diablo and the sills are wide. Its not a car you want to drive daily but it sure is a treat when you do get to see/drive one

2 lambo owners i know own also one EB110, both regular model and not the SS (there is at least one of those in Italy, i have seen and took pics of it at 45° lambo meet )

both said the "regular" GT car is VERY fast, really a rocket when turbos kick in

i talk with one of the engineers that worcked on lamborghini and also for bugatti at the EB100 project,
i have been interested in the EB since it was new so we talked about it for some 20 minutes

he told me the car was hiper tecnological, fast and very advanced for its era BUT his suggest was "leave them alone and keep the 4000 countach.... the EB is a really complicated machine has tooo many bits and pieces that can go wrong, more very few know how to worck on them"

this put the end word on a possible future EB110 ownership for me :(

p.s. the EB looks nice, but the proto was an awesome looking machine, much better than the production car imo

im an owner and its by far one of the best cars made out there and i do agree its a very advanced car for its era.

you wont find cheap materials, falling parts or sticky plastic..etc

the only thing i didnt like is the remote key !

its crazy fast, comfy (i dont like comfy cars) easy to drive easy to change gears specially if you compare it to a Diablo at that time.

the sound when the turbo kicks in or goes wosshh it something unique to this car and no you wont hear fast and furious kinda woshh.

more like falling mortar rounds behinds you.

95 regulars. then 27 ss, then there are the 18 parts cars that went to dauer, and he made them into ss's that are much sought after.

of the 27 SS, only 9 of them were considered true ss's; the rest were trim upgrades...

Always liked them, had a ride on roads away from the crowds at Le Mans 1994 with none other than Jean Marc Borel one of the directors (he was based in Luxemburg) and it was very impressive, at 210kph on a bumpy road it tracked straight unperturbed...I remember the dash leather was squeaking against the windshield enough that it was a bit annoying.

The most impressive thing was when the turbos had reached the set maximum pressure and the four wastegates would make their noise: amazing.

A friend of mine in Switzerland has a burgundy one which he has offered me to drive so hopefully soon....will report asap.

Funnily enough when I stayed six months in Modena to index a huge historic photo archive in 2006 I was renting a little house in a tiny village between Modena, Carpi and Campogalliano where the factory stil sits, now empty.

My landlady said that back in the day several times she picked up stranded EB110 test drivers and drove them to the factory!

    best regards,

    Marc

    i know Gargallo: small places
we made projects for a pair of houses there

un mio amico dice che Lesignana è il pases dove è stata inventata la telemetria LOL (a joke because the romana road pass trough it and people often go very fast there ;) .. i know a guy that at night was used to reach maximum speed on romana....pretty dangerous, lot of people died in the road)

i love borgogna! places, food and wines....oh the wine! :) creme de Bourgogne...is superb

i have been at Pouligny Montrachet less than a year ago

    enjoy

p.s. tks for the book tip

p.p.s sorry for OT but since you like Carpi (and i do to!)
