It's a crazy bunch of money, really. But, look at this. How can one resist? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
A pretty nice color. The ad says it's a modern Ferrari color (a 360??). FJ sold a maroon Lusso last year for this much, but that car was impeccable. Here's the car. http://www.fantasyjunction.com/archive.php?id=2afae2f390fffb303d9d1224b69ba614 I suppose it's a commentary on the escalation. john Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That blue looks wonderful. I have never seen a better color on a Lusso. I think people in general are too much "religious fanatics" when it comes to originality with these vintage cars anyway, and I like seeing this.
although i agree the navy looks fabulous, the maroon looks really good too. as a matter of fact, i can't think of a color that doesn't look smashing on a lusso. tom w
When we lived in Maryland and were shopping for a 250 of some kind, we saw an ad for a Lusso in Road and Track magazine. This would have been about 1975. I called the seller in Providence, Rhode Island, and spoke with him. The car was painted dark blue much like the one shown on this thread. We bought our PF coupe instead because it was more in line with what we could afford. The Lusso was eventually sold. About two years later there was an article that appeared in R&T that described the ordeal of a man and his wife who bought a 250 Lusso from somebody in Providence and attempted to drive it home to some other city in the northeast, maybe New York or Philly. The engine detonated on the way home in a major rain storm. They completed the journey in the cab of a wrecker. Does anybody on here know of this car and what has happened to it? Just curious! Ed
