Heck I doubt many greats would win as much with a proper team mate. Look at Senna and Prost. And if Schumacher had Alonso as team mate, oh boy that would be ugly.
Let's say best car / team - the Ferrari could have been the best car in 2008, but the team prevented Massa to be champion (... releasing him with the fuel pipe still attached, among other strategy mistakes).
Exactly that’s why 7 titles don’t mean much...to me at least. Prost’s 4 seem to be equally valuable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Fair enough, we can agree to disagree. Shumi's titles, Fangios, Senna's, Alonso's, Vettels, Hamilton's titles are all significant to me
Yes of course, it just shows there is always a part of luck - and crediting Lewis for winning in 2008 "without the best car" is also just ignoring this.
something to be said about having Hamilton in the car/garage through the weekend. Even the feedback to the engineers, its expereince. Russell definitely has the speed but not the experience. Bottas once again....quick driver but just missing that last 1/100th to pull everything together, Russell exposed that
No this is not true. If you sincerely believe that, it’s because you don’t understand this sport. Sorry to be so abrupt.
Well aside the 4th one I’d say Prost beat 3 world champion for 3 of his titles as teammates. Hamilton certainly a great driver only had 2 titles va rosberg a then future world champion. That’s what I’m trying to convey here. Unlike hakkinen, hill, Villeneuve I do believe Hamilton could be WC not being in the best car (I’ll say 08 for you). So I’m not diminishing him as a driver rather the easy path he got at Mercedes teammate wise and car wise. As I said before u are not a 7X WC by mistake but he won the lottery at Mercedes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well Brawn and others said Hamilton deserved all his titles, so not just me. But you don't have to agree, its cool.
Aside rosberg he faced just bottas so not much adversity internally Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Copy Externally, Mercedes has not had the FIA try to slow down the 3 star domination. The FIA has helped Mercedes dominance.
I mean it’s not their fault if they are so darn good. I mean even their road cars are just amazing. I got a s63coupe and also have an FF amongst other cars and the quality and performance of the German car is just so much better for the price than the Ferrari. I just wish they had put a better second driver next to Hamilton because it’s boring to watch. Russell didn’t care at all about bottas. Side note: maybe shorter circuit are also a good thing going forward! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
KTU is correct; We do not have to agree in order to get along. We all have our beliefs and opinions; and that is what makes us humans/earthlings unique. I may not always share someone elses's opinion; but that does not mean that their opinion is not as valid as mine.
one thing everybody can agree on, that mercedes is one hell of a racecar. for a driver to step in and practically win right out of the box proves Max’s pt. one day i hope we learn what makes it so fast.
Simple : A German structure with the best British specialists and certainly twice the budget others top teams have put in the hybrid project.
