Don and Carolyn, Another great toy run. With the year over year growth of this event I can't imagine what next year will be like.
Sorry for the late post Just wanted to thank everybody that came, the toys, the checks & cash - the people (and the cars) and the FUN ! ! ! Sit down, buckle up and get ready for next year, it's going to be one wild ride ! ! ! Last night I received an e-mail from one of the firemen that helped with the organization of the event and collection of the toys. He said that the amount of toys was so large it filled up fire truck 1, two SUVs and a pick up truck. My apologies to Jordan Bars and Dan Brodaski, the representatives from Boardwalk Ferrari, for my omission! Again all of our thanks and it you guys that make this thing as big as it has become. Merry Christmas. Don & Carolyn
http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff24/ALostArt_2007/dfwtoyrun2008/ Here's a link to some. They got jumbled with DIG and Jim's pics though. I will get it straightened out and post a new link when it's done. Here is one I took though, I think it was fitting for the run. See the smile in the rim??? I didn't photoshop it, just took it with a cheap disposable camera. I was trying to get a profile of Jim's car, but ended up with a pretty good pic. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Some more shots I took.. It was interesting.. but a bit too stickered for my liking.. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's a pic of it before the upgrade... this was in June, same license plate. Yes, it is a Cayman. Notice the GT stickers added on the spoiler. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looked like a fun event. Rich. told me about 3 interesting things; the tunnel under the airport as well as the long bridge where everyone hauled & the flipped car(?). Hope he didn't cause anyone any trouble, btw. Hope to attend next year's.
I took the tunnel on the way to Ruf that morning. My son had never been through that tunnel with me, and I entered it at about 20 mph in 2nd gear. As I entered, I stomped the gas, and ran it up to redline in 2nd and 3rd before shutting down for the exit. He wasn't prepared for the sensory overload, and literally jumped out of his seat. The combination of the noise and the strange effect of the lighting and 'tunnel vision' really flipped him out. I was laughing so hard I could hardly drive.
My friends in the 355 were behind you, and commented later that they didn't know if the geezer in the 328 would get out of their way or not, and as they soon found out that wasn't an issue. They said it sounded like all hell braking loose in the tunnel, and then had trouble keeping up with you the rest of the run.
I think I got a really good pic... well it has your car in it. Stupid Porsche Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you Don & Carolyn and everyone else who organized it. My dad and I had a great time! I couldn't believe the number of cars we had this year, that was awesome. Look forward to next year.
