3 days left on this tired one.
She's pretty tired. You see that horrible autozone exhaust system someone put on? How about blacking out all the high dollar stainless steel trim?
1) I know, I didn't know what that thing was! Still had donuts holding it up, surprised it wasn't bastardized on the mount. 2) Good eye, I didn't catch that. Did you notice the V12 insignias behind rear side windows and rear facia, where are they from?
Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-400i-1984-400i-WITH-LOW-RESERVE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6212QQihZ007QQitemZ170149114653QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW Can someone copy the details and images to this thread so that we can refer to it for future reference. Regards, Art S.
The things that people have done to this car are just awful. Obviously done by someone who has NO CLUE about Ferraris. Take a look at the prancing horse horn button, even THAT is installed wrong.
He says it has been in the garage the entire time he has owned it. = might not run No mention at all of body condition = RUST $11,000 reserve on a car that should be worth twice that = it's a mess
Wow! I'm just speechless! That should be part of Keith Martin's dictionary under the definition for fright pig! Judging by the tools strewn around the car, I would imagine that it doesn't really "start right up and run good". The exhaust, the seats, the steering wheel, those awful V12 badges stolen off of a Mercedes, the absolutely crappy looking engine bay, the headlights stuck in the up position, window switches, the leaky transmission........OMG! What a shame! John
But look at the bright side. You get that great pimp-daddy steering wheel. And how do you end up with two different oil filters?
A wreck would be a better end for it rather than suffer such indignity. Hopefully the 11k buyer will remedy all this. Anyone able to identify it's stable mate?
Guys, its on a rotation basis....@ every oil change you toss the rear filter, move the front to the rear, and install new filter up front.
My guess would be one of those silly excalibur. What an impressive stable there! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
BINGO! You hit it there, what a treasure! LOL The sad truth is that it's probably worth a lot more than the Ferrari.
Anyone notice the blow-by system discontinued & intake plenums 'hosed' together?.....some tinkerin' goin' on! From the pix, the rad. & washer bag look great.
Sold at $12k to a dealer. Going to a similar home it appears by looking at the buyers other purchases. Watch for this one to turn up again soon with lots of purple prose attatched.
I wish I had seen this before the auction was over...I would have bought it...and parted it out...surprized T. Rutland's or someone like that didnt do it. That was quite the bargain...whether it ran or didnt run imo.
That's just what I was thinking -- gotta be worth more than that as just a parts car. But I guess not. Looking forward to this weekend, Coach.
