Saw this beauty a few weeks ago... It's the first cut 400/412 i've ever seen in person and it just confirmed how i thought i would feel when i saw one - gorgeous...! i just wish i had more time to take pictures of it...

Gerald was there with me and i couldn't help but say the following...

"You know, Gerald... it might be a sacrilege to even say this, but... Doesn't a cut 400 look exactly like...

    ...a squared-off, Bertone-like Daytona Spyder...?"

He hasn't spoken to me since. :)

    It's not without its charms.

    Any problems with resale? Eric?

I'm not certain you can really hurt the resale on the 400 series, they're already rock bottom.

I know of a red cut 400 with a twin turbo setup that sold for $7,000, but the motor was bad and it was rough. The new owner is restoring it.

The market for 400's is small enough as it is. People want a premium for the cut cars, but they end up sitting for a while.

At the right price (read same as the coupes), they move.
