"Defence lawyer Bernie Balmer began his plea for Retzos by telling magistrate Luisa Bazzani: "It's obviously been a bad week for Ferraris, particularly at the grand prix."

    Pretty light sentence.......

Retzos, of Shepparton, pleaded guilty to driving at a dangerous speed and driving a high-powered vehicle when not legally authorised.

The university student was fined $2000 without conviction and lost his licence for 14 months.

    Good lawyer.
Put most of the blame onto Dad and got the kid off with a technicly clean record. Driving offense only.
Top job of legal damage limitation, imho.
Note that lawyers name if you don't already have a good one in Vic.

That's the deal - he's getting punished, but there won't be a criminal conviction on his record.
