    Not sure if this has been posted before if it has sorry for re-posting
    This happened last month in the Philippines. From what I can figure out the government seized the car because it was smuggled into the country without paying import tax.

    Yep never understood it. Sell at auction and state need it has to be exported and donate money where its needed. Poor area (plenty of those there) for example.
