Perhaps I need to widen my search.

Does anyone happen to have a 308 GTB/S in the Tulsa area? I am considering buying one but at 6'2", 260 pounds, 13W shoe, I do not know if I will fit. If possible, I would like to look at one locally before I start searching long distance.

If you have one in Tulsa, would you have time for me to take a look at it?

    Thanks in advance,

    Keith

Looking to perhaps cull my herd of Alfas for one Ferrari.

Post in the 308/328 section, you may get a response there.

Just for reference, Tom Selleck (Magnum) is 6'4" and has a size 13 shoe, and supposedly weighed 195 when he played Magnum.

Plenty of tall guys fit in the 308.

Well they had to use a 308 GTS because he did not fit in a GTB. Having owned a GTB, I think you have zero chance of fitting comfortably in a 308... Better consider a 550, 599, 612.

You won't fit. I have tried and tried, but its just not possible, let alone comfortable. Chris is right, get a 550. Or if you are really cool, a 400i 5-speed!

I said it above you won't fit,
Tom selleck's car was not stock, look it up had to lower the seat so he would
    fit, I can't fit in a 458 without pain, 308 no way!!!!!
If over 6' go for a front engine car plenty of room, or just buy a porsche you can
    be 6'4" and fit!

Ok this is all bad information. I've owned two 308s and currently own a 328 GTB. Im 6'3 226lbs and i fit great ...... In a GTB! :). the arched roof of the B allows a taller driver. the GTS's flat targa panel will bump your head if you are tall.

So, focus on the GTBs, you will love them. i do wear a size 13 as well, 35" inseam, plenty legroom. put ultimate pedal covers over the stock pedals (a bit narrower) and a Momo steering wheel spacer for an even better fit.

First I want to thank everyone who has helped, and responded, in my search for a car.

I did buy a 1975 308 GT4 (US version) that is still in California while a few items are being addressed.

It is in the San Francisco area and I am trying to decide between driving it back or shipping it.

I will certainly be driving it around town as soon as I am able.

    Cheers,

    Keith

    Your car is beautiful, enjoy!

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, but at 6'5" I fit fine in my 308GTSi. I don't know if this applies to a GT4, but I found that the following allow me to fit in my car:
    A) In "Standard" configuration, there is not enough room between the ball on the shifter and the steering wheel; such that my leg blocks my ability to shift between R and 1st. There is standardly a slight bend in the shifter rod (away from driver toward passenger), and I increased that angle slightly, which gave me plenty of room. You can find pics of this on Fchat if you search for my posts.
    B) This might not apply to the GT4 (since the rear firewall is not immediately behind the driver), but I don't put the seat bottom all the way back. I put it 1 or 2 notches from the back, which will gives more room to angle the seatback rearward, resulting in more headroom.

Enjoy your car, and hope this helps.
