Reduced! Selling my 2014 blue/ tan turbo. 31k highway miles. Great Spec and colors. $170k+ sticker ( see build list) Bought 15 months ago from Palo Alto Mclaren. 2nd owner. 1st traded up to 720s. I drive the car to work - 10 miles garage to garage on highway; and to tennis tournaments with my son. He grew 6 inches since I bought the car and his bag is getting huge. Can’t carry everything and his 10 yr old brother. Car is insane: would embarrass many cars on this site. I really wasn’t looking for a turbo but wanted the colors and found this perfect spec car. Has a c4s prior. Turbo is in another dimension. Never tried launch control - not a track racer type. Car has been babied. I’ve had several offers on the car. A specialty Porsche guy ( allthingsporsche ) offered $100k but would rather sell to non dealer. This guy was a jerk anyway. Can’t bear seeing them buy, wash and sell for $10k higher I’m in boston area. Newton - right off the highway. Not telling you what to do but if I were you I would just dump this car for the $100K offer that you have from "allthingsporsche" and be done with it.
I would if the offer still existed. Dunno if it does and the guy was such a pest/ ass. Very insulting. I told him so. Told him I wouldn’t sell him the car. But yes if I really wanted to sell I should indeed call the guy and see. Rather see it go to a real owner but yep.
Need to figure out next car . This car is amazing but a bit boring. Almost too good. When I was 12 I got my first Ferrari book. I still recall the row outside the casino in Monte Carlo - I was in 6th grade and vowed. Finally with a garage a slow search Begins... 458.. maybe 488. Looked at the Mclaren - so small in cockpit. Would need a spider .. but now in $180k range maybe back to 458 Idea. No doubt a zillion have been through same.
If you think the Porsche Turbo is boring you may think the same for the Mclaren, both are amazing cars but leave a little of the "feel" that some other cars have, namely Ferrari's. Again both are truly dynamic in their own way but seems that most owners let them go quickly with the same lack of feeling. Good luck with the sale, it is a beautiful car and color!
My 997 turbo was the same. Incredible car but unless you were accelerating like crazy it was just dull. My 964 turbo on the other hand was always amazing.
Beautiful car. Here's a tip to keep your photos from posting sideways. You're using an iPhone because they all do that. Right after you take the shot and before you save the photo, click on EDIT and simply crop the photo, even a little bit. Then save it and when you post it - the photos won't be sideways. It's a quirk in the iPhones, but that solves the issues. GLWS. About 6 months ago, I'd have bought this Turbo - but then I got test dive in the new Roma and can't get that out of my mind.
I agree with your assessment of allthingsporsche. I was interested in one of their vehicles. The owner/salesperson were very unprofessional and gave off an incredibly sleazy vibe.
Great car for sure. Love the color. And I’m in Central MA. Not a buyer though. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
the guy was very Sleepy/ aggressive - wouldn’t give him my phone number ( outside of car gurus) and he kept on being insulting. Guy was so frustrated I would engage over the phone. Insulted my wife even. Huh? . I told him no way would I sell to him. guy wasn’t dumb even with his tiny brain - I imagine he became concerned that his correspondence with me might be uncovered ( I suggested I’d copy his correspondence and just make it public ) Smart guy: he reported me for a deceptive ad as I initially listed miles as 3,000 vs 30,000( quite clear in text) and cargurus killed my account . They eventually figured out the bad actor but I lost all potentially buyers in queue. Matt or Marc was his name. no doubt the guy knows Porsche but .. funny thing: two years ago when selling my c4s there was this overly aggressive ass... yep went back and looked. Same guy. Same result. Told him I’d never sell to him. Sold it locally - life’s too short. No doubt guy is dripping w gold chains and chomps gum. Thx
Yea - I was putting it away , took down a couple ads. Generally spring feels a better time around here but yes it’s available Sethr1728@gmail.com Thx
