Never thought I would post this but here she goes. My beloved 2009 S260 with 6700 miles is up for sale. She is very well known at c anc in the Mid Atlantic. It is one of two full carbon fiber bodied Lotus S260's built in Graphite Grey and one of less than 100 ever built in any color over a three year run. The most popular are the 2009 cars because of the unique rear wing and interior carbon fiber seats made by HANS. The car spent late 2014-15 in the AACA museum in Hershey PA in a special Lotus display and more recently took third place in its category at the national Lotus Meet . LOG. Many manufactures claim low production cars but with less than 100 built this has got to be one of the lowest production cars on the planet.the car is sitting on brand new R888 tires and maintenance has been done routinely annually by me on this car. My asking price is $98,500 based on my research of two that sold this summer in the low six figures and one that is currently for sale for $98,500 with 3000 miles . Feel free to email me if you would like to discuss. Respectfully Jon [email protected]

It weighs 2100 lbs and is 255 HP. It uses a Supercharged four cylinder 1.8 liter Toyota power plant( 2ZZ). The top end and ECU were Lotus designed and then manufactured by Yamaha and the engine block is sourced from Toyota . It is the stock configuration used by Lotus for all Elise and Exige models from 2005 -2011 when they ceased importing these cars due to the inability to meet DOT standards. This car will NEVER again be seen as a street legal car in the USA as stated by Lotus UK. They will focus on the Evora for the USA. Frankly this is one of the cars that the USA will never again see in street legal form based on light weight simple design lacking most driver intervention technology. It does have ABS. It does have driver adjustable traction control and launch control. Thanks for asking

    WOW !!!!!

    Absolutely stunning.

    Low miles
    Low production numbers
No longer produced for the NA market
    Pocket rocket performance

This car is a true future collectible.

(Unfortunately it can't be imported into Canada.)

Best of luck with the sale.

Its the way all S260's are made. It was the last run of these cars in the USA and they went out with a bang. Doors are still composite material and the front clip is composite material but the rear clip, Hatch ,Top ,Wing ,top side of front clip, Splitter, Side intakes, Interior including seats, Dash and various interior cosmetic pieces are all Carbon fiber.

The front clip is composite ( its not called fiberglass) the doors are the same materials as the front clip. Im not sure the technical difference between " composite"and " Fiberglass" but Lotus does not use the word Fiberglass for a reason I assume.

I'm sure as with many of my cars ( all three in the pic) I will miss it but I'm moving on to another car driving experience . I only have so much garage space and REFUSE to build more space. I'm now getting to the point where my old cars show up at Cars and coffee. That's when it gets even more difficult.

    Sweet ride.

The splitter, roof, wing, access panels, etc... are all carbon composite. The car is about 50 pounds lighter than mine with more HP. A true collector car that won't be brought back into the U.S. again because of Fed rules.

    GLWS!
