CX is happy to present this 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra R! This 320 mile, three owner example has never never been dealer prepped with the window sticker still attached and seats covered! We encourage prospective bidders to check out all the documentation that is included with this 1 of 250 built, American icon.

The 1995 Ford SVT Mustang Cobra R holds the title of most exclusive, fastest performance Ford of the model year. With just 250 built by Ford SVT, the R-model was designed as a more powerful competition package of the 1995 Cobra, and it delivered.

SVT features geared toward racing include a high output 5.8 liter V8; Tremec 5-speed Transmission to accommodate the 300hp engine; Heavy Duty Aluminum Radiator; Lightweight Fiberglass hood; up-graded suspension; 20 Gallon Fuel Cell; reduction in weight with no power windows, radio, air-conditioning, back seat or fog lights. With performance so high on the must-have list, Ford only sold the Mustang Cobra R to one of two buyers: those with a competition racing license and plans to compete in the IMSA, SCCA, NHRA or IHRA; or those who owned a race team.

$37,500 was a LOT of money for a mustang back in 2004.

Especially considering that the base C5 Corvette (fixed roof coupe variant) had a base model price around $1,000 more before that platform was used for the Z06 cars.
