Asking price is considerably higher than RM's reported high bid of $1.3 million, however.

Lovely looking car, but if I had the money, I'd prefer the FHC version, on of the best looking versions of the 250 IMO:

Non matching engine block with restamp

 

Restamp means incorrect motor restamped to have chassis number of this car (3009) on it.

Does anyone know which car that engine came from? Is "same type" here a cabriolet engine, or is that an E-series engine from a GTE? Has a significant effect on value, I'd say.
