10th annual DFW Toy Run

    Ladies and Gentlemen of the Dallas and Fort Worth areas please mark your calendars for December 13th. This will be the date for the 10th annual Dallas/Fort Worth Toy Run. We have a start place and we are working on an end place currently. We have several different routes we can run and will start on the run side of the event this Sunday. I suspect that there will be about 100 miles of unique (various states of drought affectation) North Texas roads to run.
    If I can secure this end place (our first one was refused) this will be of interest to not only adults but also kiddos and I think everyone will enjoy it. As the month of November progresses I will keep everyone informed of this event.
    As many of you know Carolyn and I have done this for 9 consecutive years. Originally we were going to meet in a parking lot collect some toys, drive to a sports bar and quaff down a couple of libations. Instead we ended up in Greenville,TX. with 19 cars on a very cold and blustery day. Since then the event has grown incredibly. So much so that planning this annual event has become somewhat problematic, so this will be our LAST one. We are going to check the records but we believe there are 4 people that have made every Toy Run and we hope those will make it an even 10.
    So get those steeds ready to go and we will have a fun time on the 13th of next month and make a great Christmas for a lot of kiddos in need.

    I remember that year quite well; 30 degrees, top down, and no heater.........had a blast regardless. Can't wait to see everyone next month!

    Ash and I will be there, but probably in Big Yellow. The fcar brakes went soft on the way home from the Boardwalk show, and I won't have time to work on them before the run.
