Didn't know that these cars were sold recently.
Heerema bought 3505 and Connor 0774
Been a few months. Also, add 0850 to your list.
Do you know if the $ cited by Mike S in SCM is correct?
Missed his mention of it in SCM. Latest issue? Anyway, I know that Mike does know the actual selling price, so, most likely the answer is "yes."
Reported as 5 Million.
That's it. With 250TRs now changing hands at two to three times that amount it's really funny how the pecking order has shifted, isn't it?
Who & Where is Connor ?
HK based but his cars are kept in LA. A major collecter. I beleive car will be at Pebble.
I understand the price for 0774 was about 2 1/2 times your number. I talked to Paul and he said that "No one knows", but didn't deny the figure. Knowing him, the car was sold for a very, very high price. It will be at Pebble Beach, in a judged class limited to Ferraris which won LeMans, the Targa, Mille Miglia, etc.
Also, 0704, the second prototype, was sold from Monaco back to the U.S. at about the same time, and for even more money (I think this is what Wayne is referring to). As the last GTO sale for which I know the details was very near 10, clearly something is going on.
See you in California.
5 Million was in reference to 0850 as reported by Mike S. in SCM. On 0774 and 0704 I've heard the same #'s as you.
