He has plenty of experience with many high end cars. 918, CGT, Enzos, La Ferraris, Pistas. Right now he has Spider 430 and a Scuderia 16M, several Porsches and mi F8..
IMO its a waste mate because over the years the film will move, guaranteed. You will see what i mean over time but also the way its done look at the mirrors when its finished. Not 100% of the paint is covered. So taking of the horse and mirrors is a waste.
Once you go granite you never go back Easy to clean , never stain and always shiny Image Unavailable, Please Login
News flash...granite can stain which is one of the problems it has as a kitchen countertop material and one of the reasons that quartz is so popular for countertops. However, if you have a very dark color (like yours), then you'd never see those stains.
I think we are speaking two different languages. However, I had old 3M on my GT2. probably on for close to 10 years. It was old technology and it was so yellow that it made the car look two tone. It was horrible. The one thing it did not do was move. In addition, my car will be 100% covered. Even external door handles will come off.
Mine is being done right now. Shields stayed on, all other badges came off. The front badge was stuck on really well, but I got all the others off (including rear cavallino) myself in about 20 mins. My PPF guy has a trick with the side mirrors. Took some experimentation, but he cut the pattern for the base of the mirror where it joins the door, heated the ppf, then slid it over the mirror. No relief line or mirror removal required. He's also using a new film product from SunTec called Reaction. I'll post some pics and thoughts on the process when it's done. Wasn't suggesting the use of quartz on floors. Just pointing out that granite does stain, whether on a countertop or on a floor.
I here what you are saying but its impossible to cover certain items 100% . Look at your mirrors when they are done. Also look into the air intakes to the intercoolers.
I used a very high quality black Indian granite. There are zero pits on the surface. Look at some granite jet black and see if you can see pits. You can 100% seal it but i would NOT recommend it. Useless on black granite either way. I also didnt use standard grout. I used Epoxy Grout. BTW the granite is 20 mm thick. About $90 square meter AUD.
Granite less of an issue than marble but Black granite zero issue on any stains. Either way i have custom mats in the garage also
