Thanks i was looking at the first page on Ferrari.com..click on the A and it now says Limited..no big deal i suppose ...just doing my lil head in for some reason lol
Autocar have the 999/599 figure (probably found it here......) This figure is also on other worldwide sites so presumably is accurate (apart from Quattroroute which shows 549 in error !)
Leaving aside the exterior design, which everyone will have their own views on, the numbers don't seem particularly impressive vs. the regular 812 SF. Only 38 kg lighter, for a supposedly hard core track focused version? And barely faster: 0 to 100km/hr is largely irrelevant I think, limited by traction for a rear wheel drive car, but both the SF and the Competizone are c. 2.9s. More interesting is 0 to 200km/hr: 7.7s vs. 7.9s for the regular car. Virtually no real world difference. I would have expected over this measure, the newer car to be much quicker. https://www.topgear.com/car-news/supercars/ferrari-812-competizione-and-competizione I get why people will like this car but based on these figures alone it doesn't seem worth the significant price premium! Plus, I assume it will have GPF fitted so may not actually sound that good despite 9.5k redline.
Actually 2.85'' and 7.5'' respectively for the 0-100 and 0-200 kph, according to Ferrari's official site. They also said that they changed a lot in the exhaust system in order to regain the high frequency harmonics. Image Unavailable, Please Login
So, they are making twice as many of these 812 specials vs the F12tdf. I know which I'd prefer - the TDF!
My sources are saying limited along the lines of Pista and Pista Spider but no numbered production. Ferrari seeing big money in this car. Not leaving it on the table with the new company mindset. Will impact speculation and second hand values for sure.
You can look at it another way. They are making 100 CompetizioneA less than the TDF, it is a step forward as a driving machine and you can drive it with the top down… and the list Price is below the Price of a second hand TDF…still want the TDF? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
As I have just posted on the other thread the interior image on the configurator clearly shows a badge stating "Limited Edition 1/XXX" May mean nothing but odd if not a numbered car.
Is there a reason why they didn’t mention the numbers during the reveal? Seems like an important detail considering he did speak of it being exclusive.
Every car badged 'Limited Edition 1/999', is not the same as a true numbered car - ex. '107/999' They'll never do a true 'numbered' car again. Too messy. .
So confirmed both special series but only the A is also referred to as Limited Series.Question is of course how limited for the Comp A 499 599 699 812 899 999? Will the Comp even be limited at all?
Fiorano lap times 1 sec faster than Tdf 1.5 sec faster than Superfast and Pista 1 sec slower than SF90 https://www.topgear.com/car-news/supercars/ferrari-heres-full-list-fastest-fiorano-lap-times#27 .
