Hello Gadders, Feeling better, heading off shortly. See you tonight XxxxxX Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very clever 4WD system in those things, with drop gear gears inside the wheel hubs so the ground clearance is huge. Unfortunately, they're front heavy, and the Army, in its wisdom, specified their own (read: cheapest) tyres, and the first time we used them, they sank, Titanic-wise, nose first down to the chassis. We used to call them Unibogs.
Sure is. It actually drives quite nicely with Michelins fitted. Cruising happily...... ......at 83 km/h
Back in the mid 80s my wife and I were sitting in our deck chairs by the Rangie waiting for the tide to go out so we could go around the rocks into Rainbow Beach. Along come about 10 Mogs. I tell the first guy that it would be about half and hour - he says they are unstoppable and off they go into the surf. The first 3 sank to chassis. The remaining vehicles performed the most entertaining and complex winching operation I have ever seen. It was worth the 90 minutes they delayed by. John

Looks like your having a ball fellas, beautiful cars being enjoyed in all weathers, looking great and that steak sandwich looks delicious Take care and keep the great photos rolling in
That's a lot of cars! Bummer about the flat! Lucky it could be fixed because ending a big drive in that manner would really suck.
In Merimbula, what a great drive on the Monaro highway, though wet most of the time. Time to put a face on and go to dinner.
