First dyno run with the electronic wastegates working: XXX whp @ 8400 rpm, with only 11 psi! Officially the most porwerful F355!
What is it with the forum click bait? Why not just tell us the bhp power? I'm not sitting through an hour of that video just to know the figure
777.6 HP @ 8579 RPM 499.2 FT/LB @ 7875 RPM 16 PSI What's most impressive is that it still sounds good relatively speaking. Nice work. I would definitely consider something like this on a 2nd 355 haha
I believe they are in the ATL GA area I'm impressed. Both in the 777hp and the fact it didnt blow up lol. Was there any modification to he internals? (rods pistons etc) Regardless, thats amazing, good job. Glad I could help with the F1 to gated conversion
On the first video they mentioned no modification, the engine was never opened. The original rod is titanium and the original piston is already forged from the factory.
Yeah I have no doubt the bottom end can take the abuse. It's the piston rings and top end I would imagine as the weak points. The motors are already pretty strung out compression wise. 16psi seems bananas I'm curious to see how long it lasts running that.
To tell you the truth, if my numbers came up. I would have that set up done without hesitation. Love it
He mentions in the video that he is afraid about the head gasket blowing out. I like the project very much because they are using a F355 not only for the fun of it, but also to develop the electronic wastegate control law. As far as I know, apart from the titanium rod and the forged piston, the F355 engine has very thick iron sleeves, so if the engine blows up, it will be on the head & headh gasket.

This guy (Anderson) comes to my shop all the time... he is awesome! Car is awesome. He bought it completely trashed out of a barn and brought it back to life! As for the build it was more of a publicity “I’m rich and bored” for YouTube build. If he would have taken an 8k mile example and done this I would have been bummed. But the car was trash and he brought it back to life and make it unique. Cool story for sure. Oh and it for sure still sounds like a 355 100% Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
when I see this, I am happy with my 512tr engine.....allways power. no Turbo problems Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
not really important with 5L and 12 cylinders...about 470PS...but power starts at 1200 1/min. 5 gear from 50-315 km/h
about 70kg more because there was no air conditioning. The advantage is that with the 512tr motor the gearbox is under the motor and not behind the motor as with the 355 motor. In addition, the center of gravity is lower because the cylinder angle is 180 °. Such a subsequently converted turbo engine never lasts longer than 10-20,000km and has no power at lower speeds.
