Of course, why not? Write a check big enough and it's yours. Just look at the McLaren Sabre. 15 people with too much money, had McLaren MSO take a $1.3 million dollar Senna and completely re-body it into the $3 million dollar Sabre. For BILLIONAIRES, there's few 'material' problems that money can't solve. .
The history of the McLaren Sabre is more complex than that (I know one of the owners). But I understand your point of view.
Sounds amazing, that combined with the ram air intake above your head is going to be very special. Can’t wait to have a go.
I really like this virtual image, with the T50S together with all-time sports cars and some concept cars Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not only Gordon Murray a great F1 design engineer but has a amazing hand drawing on the T.50 : Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just read on James Edition website that one owner already selling his allocation of the T.50, price not disclosed. See below link. https://www.jamesedition.com/cars/gordon-murray-automotive/t-50/the-purest-lightest-most-driver-focused-supercar-ever-for-sale-10698809?utm_campaign=newsletter_7/01&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter
Every spring when I do the first drive in the elise, it reminds me that everything else feels like a waste of time. Small relatvely light, na twin can 4 cyl, stiff great suspension and direct, everything working as it should.
yes and save $3m ... the pure driving experience is available at far less than a T50 with the clown fan on the back
True. But the T50 takes the whole concept as far as it can go. Pity GM does not put his genius to somehting more atainable in the 200-300k range. Somthing light, mid engined with an off the rack Gt3 motor.
I believe he’s stated that’s his next project; basically a more attainable T50 (lower price point and more volume). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
And its going to weight 3800lbs which would be 1000lbs too heavy. Might be an inetersting car for what it is, but somthing completely different to a GM light car with purity of purpose.
the Alfa 4c showed what could be done in a small car with a CF tu, even if the suspnsion and steering miss the mark. GM says he loved twin cam 4cyl motors NA and a stick. The alpine a110 etxists albeit in a turbo paddle, Gm drives one to work. I imagine its goign to be lighter smaller NA and faster than the alpine. Hard part is finding a Na mtoor.
lotus emira coming this summer might be interesting as a (very) downmarket t50. biggest problem with z06 for me will be reliability of the new fpc v8 at 9000 rpm. i definitely wont be one of the early adapters who will be testing it out for gm.
