For some reasons Renault has completely sucked first half of each seasons and then they kinda recover but it’s too late. Like last year they finished strong but the beginning was poor to say the least! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Renault are still stuck in the ''over promise and under deliver" phase. They promised good engines since time began. They promised Ricciardo a better car/engine than Red Bull/Honda (neither happened), they promised him race wins in 2020 and fight for the title in 2021...Unless they're towing invisible containers filled with sandbags in FP1-2, I don't see that promise coming true, either. So far the only good thing Renault has done is kick abiteboul to the kerb. Long overdue.
I don’t want to defend them but the guys at Renault can’t do miracles with a budget that represents a third of that of Mercedes ( official). The budget cap will change everything.
This Tsunoda guy looks a bit handy, remember him doing some good qualy runs in F2 but tended to fade a bit in the races iirc
They mentioned during testing they are returning to the old timetable for most race weekends. Even removing the extra 10mins past the hour nonsense at the start of the race.
I'm glad they got rid of that 10 minutes. Now to get rid of that moment of silence and just get to the business of racing.

They changed entirely the management at Renault itself and in the F1 team. 2021 will be the year where they learn to work with each other. The new team manager comes MotoGP with no experience in motor racing !
