F8 S Duct in Carbon

I haven't seen that as an option is it one?

With the Pista the bonnet is a one piece carbon fibre unit with the s - duct molded into it. Then in the bumper there is another section and its painted the same colour as the car.

With the F8 the bonnet is aluminium. Then to make the s-duct in the bonnet they made a separate piece that is screwed to the bonnet.

Standard and its plastic. As an extra the piece can be carbon as per the picture i have posted. Then the other section of the s-duct in the bumper is black plastic material.
Thats why the Pista no option and there is the option for the F8.

The Pista S Duct is a work of art, looks like proper race cars with this aero mod that was part of both engineering and design studio...perfect execution.

The F8 S duct looks like a plastic wash bucket hole in the hood...like almost an after thought. The F8 S Duct is the only part of the F8 I am skeptical on with looks. This would not keep me from buying a F8 someday but that is my thoughts on the F8 S Duct.

 

I just ordered the cabin SDuct kit.
I'll try to post some pictures when it arrives and I get get it installed. It has two parts. The part that goes into the bonnet which looks to be affixed by three torx screws. The second piece is the lower section. For that I believe one has to remove the drip trays surrounding the luggage bin and then replace the OEM part.

since I've done this before in my 458 I think I can manage to perform it as a DIY.

But nothing with these cars are easy

 

I didn't like the fact that my F8 had a s duct that looked a lot like a cheap plastic bucket from the 99 cent store!

 

Wholeheartedly agree with you. That is why I have said that the perfect F8 would have been a Pisteight, the front of the Pista with the rear of the F8. Interiors of course F8 as well.

 

But since it is rebranded to Ferrari, it now cost 9k, on sale, for you. Buy it now!

Anyway, it isn't anything that can't be fixed. I am hoping to make some magic and heighten the looks by just painting. We'll see.
