Can anybody tell me what the icon in the bottom left side of the attached picture represents? It shows two white cars behind a yellow one. I've read the owner's manual from cover-to-cover but can't find any reference to it. What is it, should I care, and how to I remove it?

Normally this picture represents a traffic jam - could be traffic info transmitted through the radio

I’ve asked this question before and no one seems to know.

Funny. That’s why I love my 430...no gadgets or screens... just analog engine noise baby

That said, I lust for a 488 spider...!!

It has to do with the traffic radio function as mentioned above. Funny about not driving fast enough, I will be sure to tell that to the officer :)

Now that you point out that the icon is related to the traffic radio function, I feel like a fool for asking because the answer seems so obvious. This whole experience has led me to believe that perhaps I am the target audience for the flight crew instructions on how to buckle your seat belt.

The funny comment about not driving fast enough, by Wthensler, really brought a smile to my face. I shared it with my wife and even she thought it was hilarious.

In any event, thanks to Wthensler and others for pointing me to the answer!

It means you're in first place! But two cars are close behind you.

Actually it means there are pending traffic alerts if I remember correctly.

Every time you buy a Ferrari, the icon changes. When you get your third Ferrari, it disappears.

TMC, traffic message channel, a technology used to send traffic info via radio wave. I've not personally used it as it's a system more commonly used in Europe.

@cole328 the becker unit in the 430 has that feature too. TMC isn't new :)
