Nothing will ever balance out years of being such an unbelievable shill for them.

  2. But unfortunately it's hoi polloi that have an outsized effect on market price, not the true enthusiasts.

This is probably true for many luxury items. One that comes to mind are Rolex and Panerai. There is absolutely no reason from a horological -- much less supply -- perspective why a Rolex or a Panerai would command a better resale value than, say, a JLC or even a Patek (save with a few exceptions of steel models).

Of all the high end cars my partners and I own, the Mc’s are running and the Ferraris are constantly in service. Again and again.

  5. I would disagree.

There are many people with "f*ck you money" who simply buy cars because they can not because they have to. (Think celebrities, sports stars, Saudi princes and princess, people who watch F1 Monaco from their yacht :D)

And they buy the cars that they buy based on Youtube videos, other social media platforms, etc. Those folks are not die-hard gear-heads (cuz, a majority of die-hard gear heads don't have the kind of "f*ck you" money to buy these cars, unfortunately).

The Macs generally have stupid issues that could be resolved with better QC, they generally dont have mechanical issues at least in my 3 year experience. With that said I've had no mechanical problems with my Ferraris as well.

Lets just say I run with a pretty strong crowd without dropping names and most dont fit your description of buyers but I'm sure there are exceptions.

Same. No mechanical issues on Ferrari’s or Macs. Couple of minor software issues with the Mac but they usually just resolve themselves with no affect on the drive.

That’s not true. I liked the color and the carbon interior.

Pista is a stunning car but 765 is equally and possibly moreso in the flesh due to the bespoke nature of it. I recall seeing a Pista and Senna parked side by side and the sheer presence of the car clearly relegated Pista. There was also a 720s parked to the side and it too held its own. It was hard not to identify which were the more bespoke of the 3.
The Pista is a beautiful car - arguably the best looking Ferrari made- but the bespoke features on the other two held very strong presence in company.

Not sure if Lotus is a great example to use in this context although i would agree a lotus and and Sf90 would be a closer comparison esp in terms of which will prove the more (or less) desirable on the used market. Most who buy lotus used have track purpose in mind - and being a cheap light and fun alternative with exotic appearance would likely shift quicker and easier. Sf90 will always be plagued with the fact it is Ferrari’s first attempt and sadly Ferrari does not have a great reputation for reliability where electrics are concerned. In saying this nor does lotus but again the lotus doesnt have the complexities or hybrid drive to let it down.

765 is pure ice, lightweight and highly bespoke visually with few built, all numbered, and a formidable opponent in company of todays hyper and supercars. So the logic would place it well ahead in general desirability - which largely dictates depreciation.

Re CH and Ollie: they appear to be the only minority at this stage who have offered criticism with all others blown away with excitement. And whilst they (CH/Ollie) are clearly supurb drivers qualified to offer points of criticism there has been inconsistency in their past reviews on newly released cars which theyve sampled only to find in the next review a complete about face. I just use Pista and 600lt as more recent examples.

Perhaps a scooter painted red. Might even have some stripes.

I am now envisaging some hounds pursuing Igor "ound" on his red striped scooter with streamers flailing either side of the handle bars. The hounds are closing in though and it doesn't look like it is going to end well.
