    Hi guys

I have been struggling to sell my 488 spider for the past 6 months and COVID. A buddy of mine wants to swap his 430 scud for my 488 with the difference settled in cash. I have a Specially and a Pista as well. Just wanted to know what you guys think about it.

If you only had one car then I would say no way or if you like driving with the top down and live in an area with a great climate.

Given the fact that you have a Pista and Speciale then 100% I would swap it.

in a heartbeat. scud way better than a 488. 488 is like a MB s class.

It was merely a comparison of what I would do. My answer is obviously no, that's not hard to see, but just added that it would have been the opposite had it been a 16M.

    I've had a Scud for 7500miles, and a 488 Spider for 5000miles.
    I've currently have a Speciale.
Swop for the Scud, different to the Speciale and Pista - you will enjoy all three

You will always be able to get another 488 if you want one, getting a Good Scud from someone you can trust - priceless!

if u already have the speciale and pista, definitely go for the scud to complete the special series. No point for a 488, many of them out there and it's is only going to get cheaper
Scud experience is totally different from speciale and pista

So you’d have a Scud, Spec, and a Pista....heck yeah and I’m a 488 GTB owner...but this way you’d have the top performance model of the 430/458/488 series. That would be a cool set up.

I would vote no; at least from my experience having owed a scud and a Pista now. The Scud would be overshadowed by the Speciale and Pista. If you live in a climate which offers you 6 months of pleasant weather,I would keep the Spider. Let us know what you decide.

    While I haven't driven a 488, I drove a 458 and didn't care for it....OTOH I have driven a Scuderia a couple of times and it was a thrilling experience. Cool decision to have....congrats.

I actually drove a Scud and a 458 both on the same day for an extended period of time in Italy and I had never driven either of them before.

My recollection was the acid was very raw and rattling and the 458 was faster and refined.

488 moves miles on from this however the OP has a Pista so the Trilogy is a must!

Thanks for all the replies guys. But guess what? I instead traded my 458 spider, which I didn’t intend to sell at the moment, for the Scud. So still stuck with the 488.
