pretty light, the F8 coupe full of carbon should be 1500 kg. Carbon wheels too?

Yes the frame will be the same as the SF90 and yes its actually smaller than the current F8 . With the SF90 because of the battery it is on the firewall behind the seats. That space is gone on the SF90. Actually as I found out the carbon on the back of the seat hits the firewall. The SF90 on display the carbon was CRACKED. The battery is going to make the cabin smaller the LB wont be any different to the SF90 with regards to this

Im sure the LB description wasn't referenced to size of the car but of the engine/ power

4200 lbs is really incongruent for a car powered by an ostensibly light and compact V6.

If that number is right (IF) and the hybrid system (batteries, motors, motor controllers, cables) is responsible for the majority of this weight increase—as opposed to more luxury equipment and size—there really starts to be no more argument for keeping a heat engine and hybrid system versus a full electric. If it wasn’t for Ferrari’s established design and finishing, I could see full-electric sports cars start to eat Ferrari’s lunch.

So is SF-90 smaller than F8? W/B? Width? I never compared the two. You would expect for LB that with a V6, the length of the car could be reduced. Or maybe they’ll use the extra room to add more batteries :D At least not supposed to have electric FWD, yes?

Interesting about the cracked carbon. Where did you see it and how was this visible? The carbon is supposed to be a structural bulkhead so pretty worrisome if it was cracked. Does the batteries enclosure serve as firewall?

The jury is still out on that one. I know what it is later in the year once my dealer has had one on the scales. The manager of the garage at my dealer was at the factory just prior to the holidays for some SF90 training. Weight had apparently been a subject discussed during that course, and according to him, it is actually quite close. He claims 1650-1750 wet for a non-AF car depending on options.

    Time will tell:)

Im talking about the cabin. The area behind the seats 458 > F8 is now gone. The battery is there. I pulled the seat back to get in and the back of the seat hit the firewall. The seat back had the crack and totally market on the seat and the fire wall.

With the usual fat ass owner the SF90 is going to be well above 2 tones making it truly sporty.

Good find with the YouTube - thanks!

So from this, battery is like 150 lbs, so like a skinny a— owner, LOL. Weight difference from F8 to SF90, I imagine, will include motor controllers/inverters, motors, cables and probably more lux interior.

For LB, if no FWD, that’s two motors and one motor control/inverter less than SF90. Also, if they can get a decent weight saving going to a V6 for the heat engine the overall weight gain over an F8 can be reasonable if not fully mitigated.

Unfortunately I’m being realistic. Ferrari won’t make carbon chassis until we keep buying their products even if they lie through their teeth about the weight of all their cars.

Thanks ! See how close the seats are now. Imagine a cover in front of the battery. The seat does hit it. All the space has gone
