Given that practically everything one does to the F430 requires disconnecting the battery via the switch in the luggage compartment, is there a way to stop the siren from screaming every time the battery is reconnected?

Even an inept car thief probably knows how to disable this when they steal the car so it's not very useful as a theft deterrent and given the apathy in the population I doubt anyone would call a cop if they heard the alarm.

Installing multiple items from Stef requires multiple battery disconnects and the alarm has outlived its usefulness in my book.

Apologies, the thread title should be "Disable", not Diasable"...

I wonder what just pulling the wiring connector off the siren would do?

It would probably set a code and light an indicator. I need a way to fool the Mothership on the CAN-bus that the siren is still present and functioning.

Stef gave me the tip I needed. I can now preempt the DEFCON 1 alarm.

    Thanks Stef!

    Oh, sure.

When you reconnect the battery and walk around to the driver's side you'll see a red light blinking. If you use the key fob to lock and unlock it when the light is on, the siren does not sound. it's simple when someone tells you how to do it...;)

Got Stef's Advanced Turn Signal ECU installed and configured. Now my 2007 Ferrari is as smart as my 2002 Envoy. What's next from Stef? Memory for seating and mirror position (like my 2002 Envoy)? Stay tuned.

Next install is the HMCSL with flashing LED, then the rear LED lights.
