Yes, I saw that of course, but i'm really desapointed, i spent hours on the phone with Ferrari friends from neighbour countries and it became absolutly not clear. I I ordered 2 FPR NAPA PR161, there work at 3.0 bar (if i remember well), I just hope that the threads are the same as original. I want to be sure that I received the right parts before I work on the car, because it is not so easy to do the job and i don't want to do it 2 times.
I bought two FPRs for spare, Bosch 0 280 160 731 which is for Volvo 960 (B6304F), S90 and V90 (Volvo p/n 1306965, 3547653). It seems that PR161 is equivalent to Bosch 0 280 160 731 since it is also for Volvo and it looks identical. I have not tried to install my Volvo FPRs but it looks like some mods will be required, on the return line connection at least. Let us know how it goes when you receive the RP161-s. Here's what the Bosch catalogue states for Bosch FPR 0 280 160 731 (which looks identical to PR161): 348 F119 V8 3.4L, November 1990 on. The catalogue also specifies this FPR for Volvo 960, 09.91 - 07.98, engine B 6304 FS. For 348 F119 V8 3.4L up to October 1990, the catalogue specifies Bosch 0 280 160 715. This FPR is also specified for Mondial, F119D, up to October 1990.
That is interesting, I did not see it state the difference in pressure between 0 280 160 731 and 0 280 160 715 in the catalog only xref numbers. One xrefs to Ferrari the other to Volvo. I assume its the same 3 bar and was an availability thing as all my checking shows 3.0 bar for both. The volvo version does not have a barb for the hose.

I think we need to clarify which 348s use 3.0 Bar FPRs and which (if any) use 3.8 Bar. I still do not have clear info about this and hope that someone can solve the puzzle. Daniel from Ricambi also invited. This is what I found so far: 1. Ricambi show that both, 3.0 and 3.8 Bar FPRs, p/n 137960 & 147281 respectively, are for 348 89-92 & Mondial T 2. The 3.8 Bar FPR is Bosch 0 280 160 738 (info and picture provided to me by Marc Foyen, thanks) 3. The Bosch catalogue specifies 0 280 160 738 (3.8 Bar) for Mondial T only, November 1990 on 4. The Bosch cataloge specifies 0 280 160 731 (3.0 Bar) for 348, November 1990 on 5. The Bosch catalogue specifies 0 280 160 715 (?.? Bar) for 348 and Mondial T up to October 1990 My 1991 2.7 348 has 3.0 Bar factory FPRs (in situ, I can see the "3.0 Bar" on the FPR but cannot see the Bosch number) which is consistent with the info in the Bosch catalogue so my FPRs should be 0 280 160 731 (which is also used in Volvo 960) So, the question is: did any 348s had 3.8 Bar FPRs and, if yes, which 348s (Bosch catalogue states that only Mondial T used 3.8 Bar). According to the info I have, the 2.7 348 came with 3 different ECUs: 0 261 200 457 = M27 Ferrari 348 TS/TB, Ferrari Part 142519, FPR 147281 - 3.8 bar according to Ricambi but my 91 348 with "457" ECUs has 3.0 Bar FPRs 0 261 200 489 = M27 Ferrari 348 Spider & Chall. Ferrari Part 147176 (supers. by 156536), FPR ??? 0 261 203 327 = M27 Ferrari 348 - Ferrari Part 156536 (supers. from 147176), FPR 147281 If any 348s had 3.8 Bar FPRs, did they only come with certain ECUs? Or were 3.8 Bar FPRs used only in 2.5 348s (ECU 0 261 200 190)?
If your FPRs are 3.0 Bar and push-on (barb) connection for the return hose, then it is Bosch 0 280 160 731 used in Volvo 960. The Bosch catalogue actually specifies the 0 280 160 731 for Volvo 960 and for 348 from November 1990 on.
the 3.8 bar was used sometime in 92 and with the spider starting at engine 27843. The difference was ECU map and Exhaust and they increased fuel flow through pressure as opposed to larger injectors. Everything prior was 3.0 bar.
Which is the Standard Motor Products PR161 xref fore the barb 3.0 car version. BTW my car was October 90 and it had the 715 on it. They are all the same 3 bar (715 & 731) and it was an availability thing prompting the November change I suspect as even used the 715 are almost impossible to find.
So, in summary, the 348 FPRs should be: Up to 1992 - 3.0 Bar, Bosch 0 280 160 715 (nla) or Bosch 0 280 160 731 (easily available, Volvo 960, also S90 & V90, p/n 1306965, 3547653), Ferrari 137960 1992 and later - 3.8 Bar (possibly not on all models, perhaps Spider & Challenge only), Bosch 0 280 160 738, Ferrari 147281 In any case, the best is to read the Bosch number on the old FPR.
Yes mine was 0 280 160 715 also being a 90 my. I replaced with PR161. The Bosch are in a box. Good luck.
The FPR are replaced, it was very easy... PR161 are exactly the same as original no modification is needed. When I disconnected the fuel line from FPR to injectors pipe, I had some fuel drops that fell out of the pipe (on the left right side), but really more fuel fell out on the left side. So I installed the FPRs and I switched ON the ignition 30sec until the pumps stop and then I started the engine to do an ECU reset. The engine ran very nice. When fan started, I switched OFF. I waited 3 or 4 minutes and it restarted perfectly. Tomorrow, I shall use the car for a trip of 50 km, to check if the hot start is ok. I keep you informed !
The fuel pumps are not powered until the car starts, switching the ignition does not prime them. I stuck a volt meter there to check when I replaced my fuel pumps.
