Cauley Ferrari had an event and brought 2 F8’s. Wanted to see my 458 next to the F8. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Also a 488 Pista with an option I have never seen. Can you find it? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bingo! I didn’t get a pic but he had Vettel and LeClerc’s signature on each side of the intake. Pretty cool and not an option you can just choose. This gentleman is a long time Ferrari customer who has some influence.
Wanted the engine under glass for a change and could also get it sooner. I will probably order a spider though because I do love the top down experience.
Sorry I deleted my post by accident. I’d asked why the coupe after the spider. You are one lucky man! The 458 does look a little dated next to the F8. I spotted my first F8 heading South on US-26 In SC today! Light silver coupe....
F8 not bad looking. I dig the rear, but certainty doesn’t look like like Ferrari designs. I’d like to see the F8 with better rims though.
Those are the standard wheels, here’s my configuration I got the better wheels. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great pictures, Buddy! Congratulations and thank you for sharing. IMVHO, the 458 seems more dated at the front than at the rear. It’s only natural, as the 458 started being developed in 2007 if I’m not mistaken, announced in 2009 and first produced in 2010. It’s now 2020! My surprise isn’t that it’s starting to feel dated, but that it has been able to remain fresh for this long. I really like the F8’s rear. The front is clearly aggressive but classy, and while the rear of the F8 is in a class of its own, at the front I can spot design elements that clearly show an evolution and sustained design refinement from the 458 to the 488, and from the 488 to the F8. I feel while the rear of the F8 was a revolution, the front was an evolution. All in all, the F8 is one of the most striking Ferraris of late, namely in white. Extremely eye candy. It provokes an almost physical response from just sitting there. And the 458 I suspect, however dated at present, will in time be considered a timeless design, along the lines of the 355. Kindest regards, Nuno.
No. My 488 has those. They turned gold after the first track day lol. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I believe the initial design concepts date as far back as 2005. It was a breath of fresh air after the F430, which is a bit of a design mess imo. But it is very interesting to see how the 458 design has been honed and developed over the past 11 years. And yes, especially next to the Pista and F8, it does start to show its age. Thanks Nuno I’ll very excited to get the F8 bit I still think the 458 is gorgeous and I will miss the F1 wail is the exhaust. But the power of the F8 is intoxicating, with the 458 When manually shifting you have a few seconds between your gear changes in the F8 it is so fast you have to stay on top of it or you’re in the limiter.
F8 is more striking for sure. I really like the design a lot. Far better than 488. I’d say 458 is a 8/10 to my eye, F8 is a 9/10, Pista is a 9.5/10.
FYI: Your configuration has the standard cast wheels. Which is the same standard cast wheels as for 488. The white car has the new design forged wheels. Nice configuration by the way.
