    How diffiicult is battery replacement and what is the best brand? Thanks

    I would always go for a silver calcium battery like a Bosch S5 series.

    On the replacement difficulty, kinda depends on your skill level. Some people struggle to change a wheel after all.

    Also, we talking 599 or 612?

    I replaced mine on my 612. I thought it was fairly easy. I went with with an Optima Red Top as I could get it the same day from Pep Boys and they had 25% off online plus its lighter weight. Price was about $165. Interstate battery would have had to have been ordered and was twice the price. I've had it in the car for about 3 years now with absolutely no issue. I keep it on a CTEK tender most of the time.
