I assume the 7.5 wide fits . Do it fit?
You may notice some slight rubbing on the front at full stroke. As soon as I know, 7.5" option went on cars with wide front fenders.
There's no issue with fitting 71/2" wheels to your 308 as they were an option from new. The tyre size remains the same, 205/70-VR14. Note however the following Factory technical update. Although it refers to the Cromodora wheels, I have found this rubbing on the pre-modified wishbones an issue irrespective of the manufacturer of the 7 1/2" wheel. I don't know what age your 308 is, it looks like a series I from your profile so this will apply. If it's a series II, it will affect 1976 and 1977 MY. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The rubbing at my knowledge will not be wheel / wishbone but much likely rubber / fender lip or rubber / inside fender arch
The rubbing at my knowledge will not happen between wheel and wishbone. At full steering lock the rubber may touch the fender lip and/or the front side of the wheel well
Sorry for above double post. P7 are for 16" wheels as per attached sheets. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
you have factory 16's? I have a couple set of fcar wheels. I think I have a match set of factory cromodora 14's dated 79. interested in any sort of trade for the 16's?
I don't know why you think this, it happens. Even the service bulletin from the factory mentions it.................. At full steering lock, I have never had a 308 rub a tyre against the inner guard with a 14 X 6 1/2, 14 X 7 1/2 or 16 X 7 wheel fitted with a 205/70-14 or 205/55-16 tyre provided the inner guard is fitted correctly, any front accident damage repaired correctly and you are not running camber and caster in excess of factory figures. Perhaps if you flew across a gutter on full lock it might, I've never been game to try!
I just bought the Campagnolos and wasn't sure if 7.5 was to wide on a gt4 or if there were any issues . Also I wasn't planning on keeping them. Thanks for your help
