Unfortunately it is probably HAIL not snow... Let's hope no damage to that insanely beautiful car and I am sure it was a bit harrowing driving on that! Kudos to the owner/driver!
Ok All - I know this thread died off a bit so perhaps I need to start a new one but really like the interaction, information and intelligent conversation here so hoping at least a few of you can chime in I currently own an amazing 1995 Giallo 355 GTS. Absolutley love it and plan to never get rid of it but am now looking at a second car and want a V12. I started perusing aroung looking at Testarossas and while they have a certain nostalgic charm I am constantly attracted to the 550s and from a cost/performance/maintenance/known issues aspect the 550 is a lot smarter move IMHO. The reason I am posting here is while sitting on A1A having lunch in November a sickningly beautiful blue (I believe TdF...) with Crema interior went by and I almost spit my wine! I am hopeing to find the same color combination on a 550 and after seeing the posts of Pozzi blue and am torn (and would probably be very happy with) either. So - A couple of questions and yes I plan to search the threads as well 1) Are there any published or known build numbers for US-delivered 550s in either TDF or Pozzi Blue with Crema interior? 2) Obviously, if anyone knows of one available - or soon to be available - with proper history, maintenance etc. please PM me. Thanks for listening and hope to bring this thread back to life if nothing more than to see some amazing cars! Cheers
OMG was this a former Al Thani or what ever his name is car? Can this color be ordered (is it factory) on a 458? If it has blk interior incredible.
Yes it can be ordered on a 458. They have out of range paint and the 50s and 60s palette, as well. Expensive.
Not sure if you're still looking, but if NART/crema will work for you, you should look into this one in CT: http://classiccargallery.com/details.php?id=372&g=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1998-FERRARI-550-MARANELLO-RECENT-SERVICE-EXCELLENT-/250991720864?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item3a7045b9a0#ht_15493wt_1165 Image Unavailable, Please Login
JOEV: You have a nice profile picture of a blue 550. Do you have any more pictures of it? Which color como is it? Would be great to see some more blue 550s... My favourite car these days!
Hi - that's from Onno's post here http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=137395851&postcount=4. Hard to be positive in the bright sun, but I think it's blu Pozzi/cuoio.
Ooops, sorry Joe. I thought you were referring to Onno's car. I always knew your avatar was a 550 hood scoop. Now I know which car's it is! Barry ps I liked your former avatar just showing the hood scoop. It was quite avant-garde. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Correct Barry - Onnos' car is a very unique and beautiful colour (Porsche's best colour imho). I was just showing user F456M where I got my latest avatar. Glad you liked the avant-garde hood scoop shot I have several hundred images of 550/575 in different shades of blue so I occasionally get the urge to change my avatar.
I was at the Ferrari dealer here the other day. It was interesting to see the different colora availible. Both std and "out of range" colors. I compared Tour de France with Blu Sweaters. TdF looks quite a bit lighter than Sweaters. Do you have more pictures of Blu Sweaters colored Ferraris? And which color code is it? I have seen a car with 543 that was very nice looking. Maybe that is Sweaters? Thanks for input!!
I bought this car from the dealer in CT last March. Love it and the color looks great in the Florida sun. It pops.
Scott, I too am dying to own a 550 and as luck wold have it I have a friend that owns a spectacular 2000 TdF/Crema...unfortunately I sold it to him in 2001 and since the values are so low these days he's not interested in selling Stop by FoD sometime and lets chat about our mutual admiration
On amamera CNC have advertised a 200 Tour de France Blue 550 that they just got in and are detailing to prepare for sale. Erik- Actually red is for Ferraris in general and even the V12s. Cannot prove that last one, though. Blue was actually losing popularity during most of Maranello production. One reason they are hard to find. From the official Ferrari magazine. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I didn't find Azzurro Monaco listed here. One of my favourite blue, along with California and Alloy... Image Unavailable, Please Login
