@Ray Wellington I PM:ed you my address, will you ship them please? :)
Nowhere in the world apart from me as I invented them. I make by hand. £58.65 Inc postage to USA from England. Let me.know if you want them and I'll add you to my list. Kind regards Ray
New film came this week! First of new batch sent off today. Have PM'd those that have paid. Those that said they will have some and haven't paid, hurry or the new film batch will be gone already! Didn't expect them to be this popular to be honest! Cheers
Hi everyone! Just wanted to say the new film does not have an outer protective film layer. It is much much harder material and doesn't need the protection apparently. So don't try and peel off an outer protective layer cos there isn't one now! Have sent revised instructions to those with the new film - follow that. @stevdug your replacement one is using the very last of the original film so it matches your other one. So that WILL have a film to remove. Hope that's clear!
No haven't yet, although yesterday I was at my local Ferrari dealer and asked them if I could measure up all the lenses on cars they had. They thought the lenses were an interesting idea and let me measure. There wasn't a FF in there but a Cali T, F12 and 360 had lights suitable to be transformed so might look into those. I've googled the FF and they look identical to 458 lenses. Or are they a different size?
@Altoria F yes they look exactly the same. 458 are cut to 150mm. Will be able to make a set for you but can't get to post office yet as in lockdown. Soon as I can I will let you know. Cheers.
Ok, of course I understand all is locked as well here for one week. Your overlays appear nice to my eyes since no definitive mod, I must admit the 458/FF tail lights look a bit oldish since the 488/Lusso tail lights. Cheers, Pascal
Has anyone had issues with theirs after insalling? i had mine professionally installed by a tint & detail shop and within a week they are starting to bubble , i'm not sure if its the heat from the engine possibly or what..however seems i'll be taking them off and tossing them unfortunately. Also since they are cut by hand they aren't perfectly rounded..but my issue is the bubbles. Maybe the set i got wasn't right, not sure- but as far as i'm concerned i've wasted $75 (don't mean to be rude or knock the seller- thats just my experience) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Same issues as yours. Install with heat gun went smooth, then the next day terrible streaks and bubbles that are impossible to remove. Will have to scrap them at this point. Had minor debris in between the film and circles were not perfect. Good attempt but is something is off with the material.
crap, reading latest posts here it seems like a waste to put them on at all? I've got my set but have not attached them yet,,,,
I checked today and I do have some small bubbles but nothing like what has been pictured. I do have the original film Ray used so don’t know if the newer material he started using is a factor.
Alright seems this is an issue for us all now No biggie they were not that expensive, ut thinking if we can actually improve this by applying some sort of extra layer of glue between the film and the light. I'll talk to a pro in this area and let you guys know.
Get a vinyl cutting machine and you can bang these out in no time with perfect dimensions. You can get a hobby machine for under $200. Also looks like you need to test some new material if they are coming loose. Installation probably also a factor. Every spec of dirt or dust trapped under the film is going to show. If you can source acceptable film that has adequate adhesion maybe you just buy a few sets of the lenses, install the film yourself and send them out as core exchanges. Just throwing some ideas.
