talking about this label? I just ordered the stencil for future restore of the airbox. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ferrari-308-328-Airbox-restoration-lettering-stencil/143513610835?hash=item216a13ea53:gA4AAOSwa0VZ5~mD
Now does anyone have any idea the part # or where to source the intake box coupling? Mines breaking apart Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I try to do-it-yourself as much as I can, but I wanted a perfect restoration of mine so sent it to "Italian Car Parts" in Oregon. Their restorations are factory-perfect. Regarding the part number 114019 (the rubber thingie), its worthwhile downloading the Spare Parts Catalog for your car. It has diagrams of every single part and is a great general resource.
Superperformance have them for £29 if that's the part you are referring too? http://www.superformance.co.uk/328/fuel.html Also Maranello classic spares have them on special at £49 I bought the superperformance one a few years ago and its still perfect...
I've been hunting for one of these (stencil) for a couple of years. The last best lead was the eBay link in this thread. I've tried contacting the seller with no result. I'd be happy to pay you make another and post it to NZ? It is the last thing to finish the engine bay in my 85 308 QV.
If no one else comes up with the goods I have one I would be happy to reproduce but .....will take a few days to get it scanned and laser cut, it will be a copy of the ebay one from a few years ago.....and I'll need to cover my costs if there is any interest.... Mark
I am interested so please add my name to your list Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Hey Mark... great concept, however by laser cutting a stencil out plastic raises one problem. While airbrushing the paint onto the stencil, if you don't hold down the stencil as you airbrush, the paint bleeds under it. The only way to get a crisp looking stencil on the lid is by silk screening it on...
Hi, Are you able to sell us replicas of your silkscreen stencil? If not then I’ll also probably go for Marks offer of a laser cut stencil and give it to my paint guy. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Sure I can help... so the question is, would you like the artwork negative in order to have another person to actually make the silkscreen for you? or do you want me to actually stencil it on to your lid? I won't charge anyone for the artwork negative of the stencil... Just PM me with your emails.
I'm also going to attach some pictures of my home made silkscreen lid applicator.. Burning the negative onto the silk isn't hard, just time consuming. Yeah I thought about it... however I rather help out 3x8 owners by offering up the files to do it yourself for FREE! This is one "word" you can't associate it with Ferrari ownership :O)
Italian Car Parts in Oregon restores these airbox covers and they are factory correct. They do a great job
