Israel introducing mandatory 14 day quarantine for every one entering the country. They don't mess around.
I'm reading it's just self-quarantine (unless you been to China/Italy etc), which is no different to most other countries.
Yes ,they will have to prove they are able to self quarantine for 14 days ,otherwise they will be sent back. The main difference from other countries is that it applies to anyone from anywhere on the planet. As opposed to the Oz and all other countries.
Yeh. Wouldn't be surprised for other countries to follow suit, eventually ,but by then it will probably be too late .
On the positive side, the virus could bring down F1 ticket prices, not to mention hotel rates. And each team could sell masks with their logos on them...even COVID19 balkavas.
Italy is on lockdown We are all working from home at least those that can. You can leave to go to the doctor, grocery store, pharmacy or go to work and if you leave your city of residence you have to carry a form self-declaring where you live and for what purposes you are moving outside your residence area. But generally you should stay home. No Soccer matches, concerts, Restaurants open 6:00-18:00, School/Uni closed everybody learning from home. Most Community services are open although they prefer you try to do your business online or over the phone. Basically all public congregation is prohibited and the train stations here in Bologna at least have Police at the station. Bus and Trains are running on reduced schedules, Autostrada near my house I can see Trucks are moving but little else. Life goes on and since I live in a rural agricultural zone with a piece of land so as far as food/wine goes everything is good. Local grocery store had a run on all vegetables this weekend except string beans. The main thing is to avoid close contact (1m distance min) with people and stay at home as much as possible. Cell phone calls tend to drop frequently and internet speeds at least in my area are stable. My Taxi neighbor said there is a 40% reduction in his business-airport (BLQ) to train station or downtown Bologna. We will see but at the moment we are hanging in there. I have a trip to Austin in Late May so I'm hoping things get better soon.
Good to know you’re probably in the best possible position for handling this: relative isolation and self sufficient for food (and wine ;-) Maybe a bit selfish considering the health and economic impact of this outbreak but surely people staying home will affect Ferrari’s ability to develop their car and work on next year’s car.
You will find a few elements of explanation in the following article's first part; the second part deals mainly with the country's administrative organisation. https://www.lawfareblog.com/how-italy-handling-coronavirus I actually don't think that things went bad in Italy; if you observe the numbers and figures, France is today exactly on the same path: we are now exactly where Italy was ten days ago... Rgds
Not incredible, actually: France had 613 confirmed cases at 7:00 on March 6th; and 1412 at the same time four days later. More than doubled in four days. Spain had 674 yesterday March 9th at 7:00; and a whooping 1231 (= + 557) the morning after (that is today) Almost doubled in one single day. Rgds

Every cloud has a silver lining, eh ? I like your thinking. I bet the undertakers are making a fortune out of this.
The coronavirus may spell the end of F1 as we know it. It is impossible to forecast the extent of the economic carnage, but if it is severe manufacturers(Renault, Honda, MB) might well decide to ax their programs. As others have pointed out they are shifting to wide scale production of E vehicles, F1 has is no relevancy to those vehicles.
Well it would give them all the excuse they've been looking for to get out of F1. Even Ferrari could leave and say the virus forced them to do it. They cancel the season and just never come back next year. Everyone fails with honor.
The infection rate throughout Europe is worrisome. I have been watching the French increases, and I pray that isolation will cause the rate of change to decrease.
It is worrying and the economic impact will hurt a lot of companies, done will do really well. but let’s put this into perspective...UK has 373 cases at present, the vast majority will survive. Meanwhile about 450 people died from cancer today in the UK! let’s all panic and buy toilet paper!!!!
The toilet paper situation in San Francisco is bloody silly right now. I had to order from Amazon Prime to get my 3-ply. Tried to slum it on 1-ply but my a$$h0le is having none of it.
Absolutely ! Cancer, alcohol and tobacco are still the biggest killers, transports are next, and nobody panics about that.
